I will finally get my gtx into the water loop shortly, i just wondered what kind of temp drops people have seen, it idles at around 75C at the mo.

Well if my X1900XT is anything to go by, you should see massive improvements.. Its dropped my idle temps down to below 40C and my load temps never really go about 45C and thats overclocked with a [email protected] on the loop! :)

I have been watercooling my video cards for quite some time. The idle temps are usually lower, however, the big difference comes in the load temps - watercooling your video card significanly lowers the load temps. Add to that the silence that you get with watercooling and you are onto a winner.

I know i'l see improvements, as i did with my 7800gtx under water, its specifically a 8800gtx temp im after.
Thanks

Yep, mine dropped to about 40-45C with Maze 4s.

Note they won't likely get you a better overclock as 8800GTXs are volt limited not cooling limited.

Should see decent drops! My 7800's used to idle at around 70 degrees, but now with water cooling they are around 40. Thats 40 degrees on both cards, in SLi and, an over clocked e6600 to 3.1ghz.

how well do the 8800s work with maze 4s? do you have to have ram sinks on as well?

Yeah weather was terrible. We park at a friends house about 30 mins walk away from the ground. Up until that day, in 3 years we have never got wet walking to or from the game. I had never been so drenched in my life!
