Well mines finaly up and running, theres no doubt this card is very fast, I've only just set the system up and am currently using it with a E6300 (temp until quad), with the E6300 even @ stock speeds every game I've tried flys, even oblivion  , anyway that aside, the only thing that is conerning me is the temp, even with the side off my case in a room @ 23.8c the 8800gtx is running @ 68c and it's very hot to touch, I haven;t tested load temps yet but will update soon, whats everyone else's temp ?

wow, the speed of this thing is incredible, I can't beleive with a E6300 @ stock everying is running uber smooth and I'm very fussy when it comes to fps, so far I've tried FEAR, COD2, OBLIVION, CONEMNED, all maxed out (including AA&AF) @ 1280x1024 and it's perfect, hell, if this E6300 overclocks well I may just keep it while longer :D

My BFG8800GTX is 68 idle and 68 under load. Just never seems to go up or down.

I'm having a problem with cooling through my Antec p180, I found that removing the middle hard disk tray has helped (down to 49 from 57 on mobo). I'm guessing the mobo sensor is near the SATA connectors and there is practically no airflow through there as the stock case does not have any front fans.

Got top , bottom and upper fans all set to high speed.

I think biggest issue is that the 8800 is so long it effectively cuts the case into two parts.

I've also had big problems with cooling in my P180, if I take the top air filter out from the front of the case my 8800gtx goes from 68c idle right down to 55c  , and I lose 5 degrees of my cpu.

Just pulled this off nvidia's forums, thought it might put people who are getting high temps at ease a little,

"Thanks for the replies. Couldn't get on the forums at all yesterday.

finally got in touch with BFG yesterday and got the official response:

"Yes, this is normal and actually pretty good. Most of the test we have done
here have been with the card running at 90 degrees under load. I believe that
the Nnvidia alarm is set to go off somewhere around 130 degrees. The card can
definitely handle the heat as long as your case/CPU have enough air moving
around as well.

Thank you,
BFG Support"
