How hot is too hot?

My EVGA 8800GTX idles at 76ºC. Under full load it hits 91ºC+.
Are they all like that or do I just have a really hot card?

Bit hot but within specs, your AMB Temp could be high etc and case airflow, many things.

Thats about right, my OCZ was the same until i added it to my water loop and its now 45/55

I have some new case fans on their way so hopefully it helps a bit. My ultra 120 extreme is cold to the touch but with the GTX in there, the air coming out of the back of the case warms up the room quite quickly.

Anyone know how good EVGA's warranty is?

Basically, if I play for too long, games just crash once the video card gets into the mid 90ºC's Also, if I position a fan to blow over the videocard, it stops crashing. I thought it might be my case cooling but all my other temps are perfectly fine.

I thought I would try and just go through the EVGA stepup program but it's a joke.
Basically, you take what you paid for your card and minus their suggested retail price of the card you want. My vanilla 8800GTX was purchased for the equiv of 465 euros. Their suggested retail on the 8800 GTX KO ACS3 is 629 euros.. for a difference of £110 (plus shipping)!! Seriously! The price difference on OCUK is only £40

My other option is picking up a Thermalright HR-03-PLUS and a fan but I don't feel I should have to buy 3rd party cooling just to run the card at stock settings.

They say their cards run hot to begin with but this is just sad. Think they would RMA my card if I gave them a hard time over the phone or something?

Its well with limits, but you need make sure its not anything else but suppose fan would prove that you fitted.
