8800GTX which make should I get?

Went and ordered a EVGA 8800GTX + i'm in for a step up to another so it looks like a new board and maybe psu again :p (if i ever get this 56 day old psu rma dealt with).

I had an inno3d 7900gtx and it wouldn't OC a single bit so that's put me off them probably for good although i'm sure i was unlucky.

Well. . . will OcUK be doing there own brand version? last time they did this they was cheap as peanuts compared to the branded versions on the last generation of Nvidia card.

Went against my bettr principles and bought an XFX. Got some discount on it so I can't complain (until it goes belly up).

Didn't someone say all the current 8800 cards are actually built by asus any way? and just slight differences in the cooler design?

Designed by Asus, this lot were all made by Flextronic, Nvidia's main contractor. There are a few cooler variants, the Sparkle TEC being the most radical.

Second thing Im an Asus man, I have a Asus MB, question is are there any diffences, pros and cons between all the makes of 8800's I.e, XFX, Gainward, MSI etc etc, as I they dont do an Asus yet.

Sticking to the question at hand:

Anandtech recently did a Geforce 8800 roundup, choosing the EVGA e-GeForce 8800 GTX w/ ACS3 as the best. However im not entirely sure if this card is currently available.

Link is http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2873&p=1 giving benchmarks/ overclocking results and basically doing a mini review of most 8800's.

Yeah im sure i read somewhere in here fom Gibbo that they were going to get their own branded OcUK one. :)

I'll be getting the EVGA 8800GTX w/ACS3 but only because I've still got a couple of weeks left on the step-up program on my Superclocked 7950GX2

Didn't think the DX10 cards would surface within the 90 day step-up period so really happy I bought an EVGA card now :)

Me too, 36 days left, so hopefully these will be on the list by then.
Not much loss to me anyway if they aren't as an 8800 is still an 8800 and I'll still be happy to step-up.
Just don't think I can wait much longer
