8890 in 3DMark06

3Dmark 06 is a waste of time.

If you've got a dual core cpu you'll get a good score for your hardware, if you've got a single core cpu, you'll get a crap score for your hardware

(its that simple)

I only get 8000 and something....because I'm using a single core cpu, I'm sure there's people with X1900s that get that much...

Chuck a game on though and I'll be getting near enough double their frame rate....

Totally pointless.

I would use 3D Mark 05 for an indication of how my system performes in games now.

Use 3D Mark 06 to see how your system will perform in future games (when we will see dual cores giving better performance).

3D Mark 07 will use quad cores (if you have them) and will only work on Vista (DX10) but thats the way I think it should be, hense the companies name Futuremark!

I just built a similar spec machine for a mate and got

DS3
6300 @ 2.6 Ghz ( will go loads higher but playing safe)
8800 GTS @ 575/900
OCuk value 800mhz 2gb runnin 1:1 (about 775 in think)

3d06 a tad over 9600

So i think yours might be a tad low.

Try a clean of windows and see if you improve

Only 6k with a gts , what are your specs i cant seem to see them, but all i know is my x1900xt has beat you , ATi Powaaa!
