8gb ddr3 2400 (2x4) can I add more?

When I built my rig I fitted 2 x 4gb of Vengeance 2400 ddr3
its now so cheap I am thinking of adding another 8gb is that going to be ok or should I get a new kit of 2 x 8gb.

Most cases 8gb is fine.

Well it's a bit of everything, from banking, gaming, photo editing to plain surfing sometimes altogether and it folds 24/7.

What is your system specs, I run 16gb with 4x4 without issue and I am running a 4770k overclocked to 4.4ghz
