8gb to 16 gb memory

ok big question is ....is it worth updating to 16gb of memory......been using 12 gb on triple until i got the sandy bridge....i mainly play games and a little bit of video converting with VSO ...thanks

well i was thinking that as i am not getting any slowdown whatsoever....but ....just wondering should i keep 8gb of my vengeance and sell the other 4 gig stick....or buy another 4 gig stick and run 16 gig.....

Just keep the kit. The spare stick can be a backup incase one of the other sticks fails.

Another option is to sell the RAM kit and buy an 8gb kit.

ok i have 8gb of memory my virtual memory is 8175mb...is this ok or should i adjust it....

ive got my single stick of vengeance on the way...i am gonna be having 16gb ...4 in each slot do i need to change any voltages or anything with using all 4 slots thanks

I just cant see memory staying this cheap. The way I see it is there is no harm maxing out now and then sitting pretty for ages!

You'll probably want to knock your virtual memory (pagefile) down a bit, if not completely down to around 1GB, as it's likely just an overhead for your system. Unless you're running concurrent high-memory apps and periodically switch from one to the other whilst keeping them running, I presume it will not offer any benefits. If this is on your SSD, it'll give you back some useful space in return.
