Is it worth the upgrade?(currently have 8gb) I do a lot of gaming and Edit & render videos on a daily basis in 1080p, as well as using photoshop!

Would the difference be noticeable in games/rendering times?

Well, how much are you using now?
In general, not this exact moment lol

Well, i',m not rendering or anything atm but i have chrome/skype & gta iv open and its at 57% i havnt got a clue what its at at other times xD i'm currently running a 1055t oc'd to 3.8ghz but will have a 3570k in a week. As of now 1080p rendering takes quite a while compared to 720p

Keep an eye on it whilst rendering. I don't know how that really works but would assume its all about CPU cores and GPU speed/ram?

As Woden said keep an eye on it, games wont really benefit but rendering might if your maxing it out

difference in games highly doubtful 8gb is currently plenty for games, As for rendering you may see an increase might be an idea to monitor your ram usage and see if it get close to the max. plus no offence if your rendering i'd go for the 3770k instead of the 3570K simply because of hyper threading, that is of course if you can stretch to it.

I would say not at all personally.

I was using 4GB till about a year ago, and the only time that caused problems was quitting BF3 after a long game.

8GB has no limitations at all, so save the 16GB till when you get a new CPU/mobo in the future.

i use 16gb and game, depends on game tbh, total war series runs loads better now on a i7 with 16gb from a i5 with 8gb of ram and same video card
