A p4 @ 8ghz should have a very quick super pi 1mb time as the netburst architecture thrives on high clocks.

I would envisage sub 20 seconds possibly even sub 15 seconds for the 1mb times.

So still slower than a C2D @ 4ghz but still not bad for a p4.

If you got a p4 to 8GHz you could probably cook them on it!

I'm assuming thats an ES chip they are using... or you couldn't put a high enough voltage through the chip to boot it at 8gig without it shutting off to protect itself...

Ehh arnt the mobos the ones that shut it down, the cpu wont do a thing i think if thermal stuff is diabled in bios, the mobo is modded so....

seems to be a cherry chip, not es though.

Mainboard got vmodded to hit 8ghz.
