8gig Memory

[The Seventh One]

I'm thinking of sticking another 4gig of RAM in my system in a couple weeks time to be 'Future Proof' and because right now, it's really cheap. I've got a couple of questions first:

1. I heard putting 8gig in the system makes it slower, is this true and to what extent if so? (OS is Vista 64)

2. I'm currently running my memory at 1066 2.2v, if I add another 4gig (I will obviously buy exactly the same RAM) will I have to downgrade this speed to like 800 1.8v?

Whilst having a mad PC upgrade spree I totally forgot that I still have a ****e hard drive that is very long overdue an update so thats going to be what I'm going to go for first at least. I'm going to put the memory on hold for a later date as some of you are quite correct, I really do not need this right now at all, I'm just buying for the sake of it.
