IGZO and:

Pricing of the displays will initially be around $12500 – $13300 per unit, but the amount of panels produced by Sharp will be extremely limited. According to IHS DisplaySearch, this year only around 2.7 thousand 8K display panels will be shipped commercially. By 2019, the number of such 8K panels made by various manufacturers will increase to 911 thousand panels.

Doesn't say 30Hz but I assume so?

8K might come to desktop but only as professional solutions. For gamers 8k is pointless as there is no graphics solution which would be playable at 8k, even 4x Titan X would struggle or run out of VRAM rather quickly.

In tests Crysis 3 was a slideshow with 4x Titan Blacks.

However I believe Pascal or Greenland or the ones after that would probably be as good at 8K as 290X was at 4K after everyone saying it'd never happen.

DP1.3 has enough b/w for 8K60.
