8Pack 4.9ghz delidded chips reduced.

Received my 4.9 CPU today, not having a good experience.

I'm getting really bad temperatures with my Kraken X62 on MAX.

The following is at 1.35v

Getting 80c on Core 1
Getting 100c on Core 2 (CPU throttling)
Getting 63c on Core 3
Getting 73c on Core 4

I've tried about five cooler re-seats, all using the thermal grizzly thermal compound which I've now nearly depleted because of this...

Why are these temperatures worse than non de-lidded CPU's I've seen?

This 4.9 bin will just be the dumping ground for the CPUs that wouldn't make any of the higher bins.

Yes it's delidded but there's the potential for these CPUs to be worse on average than an unbinned CPU batch.
 
That's what's always put me off buying a cpu that isn't in the top tier. I bought a binned cpu from OcUK a long time ago (2000!) but that particular cpu only had one guarenteed speed (P3-650E @ 866mhz).

Sounds as if the replacement TIM between the core and the IHS is missing or hasnt been applied correctly.
