Running some oldish 3600 cl16 8pack.
When I change some memory timings to the safe 1usmus settings, the pc will restart 3 times, with an audible click. It gets to desktop running basic profile settings. Although in the bios the settings they are still there, so it's not reset the bios.
It's the fact the mobo is actually turning off and back on that surprises me. What does this mean? I'm use to the softer restarts where it's training, but not this.
Note I was only changing primaries, not upping fclk/speed.
On XMP all runs fine. And tbh with an 5800x3d ram tweaking is less value, just interested to know why it's powering down and up.
