X-Power has reduced the noise emission of the power supply dramatically by having designed an innovative themal-controlled circuit board and using a high-quality power supply fan.
This new concept of efficient cooling technology actively optimises and controls the balance between the up loading currents and fan speed. It enables the noise level to stay between 20~28dB (A) under required loading conditions and provides the highest operational safety as well.

You don't really need an 8x Pin, as 2x 6 Pins work fine, all the 8x Pin does is open up Overdrive in the drivers so you can use it to overclock, but you can just use another program instead of the drivers (if you want to), and welcome to the forums abm. :)

Thanks loadsamoney, and thats what i wanted to do urrm what software do you recomend? i coudnt figure out ati tools..

I had a x-power 450w for a very short time. The amount of RF noise it fludded the power line with became unbearable. (Caused humming on speakers no matter which socket the psu was hucked up in the house). humming was lowered by putting ferrit cores round the speaker wires , but it was just so much better to be rid of the x-power psu ;)

when my pc is off mine seems to pick up some kinda french radio??? lol i dont seem 2 have that problem tho sometimes it does make the noise

( i may buy a new psu when i have the money anyway)
