Hi

I have the Asrock VSTA motherboard with both 8xAGP and 4xPCIe my radeon 9700 pro is not compatible with the motherboard what I want to know is what would be faster or perform better.

If you could get the same card in each an 8x AGP or the 4x PCIe ?
I can't find any good info but I think the 8xAGP is still the faster interface than 4xPCIe.

Any info.

Get PCI-e, as then you can use it when you upgrade. Speedwise, x4 PCIe is still quicker than x8 AGP (not that it matters, as we are talking 2% performance difference)

Thanks for the info.

Just been looking. They are cheaper in PCIe as well

looking at this one
Sapphire X1650 Pro Ultimate 256MB GDDR3 DVI TVO PCI-E Graphics Card silent card.

This will be quicker than my old rad 9700 pro won't it ?
