Hi all, i think i have a little overheating problem on my macbook pro.
I have the 2010 model bought in september of that year. Dual core i7 @2.66Ghz.
When i am watching videos on 'the tube' at anything over 360p, my fans spin up massively and core temps hit over 90. The mac itself becomes too hot to touch on the back and the front (over the CPU i assume) is also extremely hot. Nothin takes huge amounts of resources, up to 30% maximum.
The last time i opened my mac was to install some new ram. Proper stuff from crucial, all 1067Mhz as required. There didn't seem to be any dust build up at that point so im not too sure what to do about this.
I think i only had 1 year warranty as i didn't pay for apple care so i dont think they would help?
Ideas?
