Hi all - I have a budget of £900 to build my own computer + monitor and I can't spend over the limit
I want my computer for gaming- video recording/ editing- graphic design and music making-
I know I need the basics:
Monitor
Wifi dongle
Power supply
Computer case
I would preferably like Intel i7 CPU
Cheap Windows home so maybe Windows 7
Internal hard drive
Good quality motherboard
Decent sized RAM memory
Reasonable sized SSD
Graphics card that will last and is reliable
Disk reader
Just need help choosing which item to buy from the list above- remember I can only spend £900 - I literally need everything and I would like the computer to last me at least 3 years minimum -
Any help would much be appreciated-
Could you also put a explanation to each item you choose - to why you think that's the best make for the item at that price
Thank you all
Have a great day!

Raise your budget or lower your expectations. An i7 + motherboard and decent gaming GPU alone will cost about 2/3 of your budget.

Better to go for an i5 in my opinion, and even then you're going to likely go over your maximum as you need both a monitor and O/S too.

Here's an example:

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £913.49
(includes shipping: £19.62)

You could change the 970 for a 390 which will bring you closer to budget, but the build will still be without secondary storage or a wifi dongle.

EDIT - in actual fact Stulid specced you a very good system yesterday. Get that.
