The Plextor gets good reviews. Got the Samsung myself though but looking at another a bit down the line so may try the Plextor.

people say that the sandforce controller is really unreliable so im looking for a cheap reliable one, ill have a look at the plextore but i really want a samsung 840 pro, i think its the fastest ssd out there ?

Pretty sure the Saumsung PRO drive is one of the fastest if not the fastest, the competitors include the Plextor Pro, Vertex 4 and the new Toshiba drives. I'd pick the cheapest out of those ones.

SF drives are unreliable!! This is not acceptable anymore. I do know the general perception about SF which is why many are against this. I am using Intel based SF SSDs in my lab and acknowledge that there were issues early on due to firmware incompatibility. However, after the patch updates it really has far exceeded my expectations and doing good.
