Hi,
I'm trying to get straight in my head the final little bits for my 900D build.
I've got 2 x 480mm radiators, one for the top and one for the bottom. Also down the bottom I plan to put my 2 D5 pump with EK dual top. I've also got an EK RES and adaptor to fit it to the pump top.
This is where the problems start...
Will having the res basically in the bottom of the case/loop cause any problems?
For the rest of this I'm going to hope the answer to that is 'no'.
I'm also thinking about draining. Now usually I like to put some quick disconnects going into and out of the pump/res. Due to the position of the pumps and the bottom radiator it would make sense to connect the rad either to the input or output of the pumps. I'm just not sure if, because of the proximity, I'll actually be able to fit a QDC in there will I? (Planning on using Koolance QD3 fittings if that helps).
What's my other option here? T-piece and 'tap'?
I'd also quite like to have QDCs either side of my GPUs so that I can switch them without having to drain the whole loop. The issue here is that the distance and angle between the top GPU and the CPU wont be very much, so again I'm not sure if I can get a QDC in there?
One solution would be to go from the GPUs to the top rad (connectors at the rear) and then from that to the CPU block. The way I see it this could make the route back down to the pump/res a little awkward as it'll be blocked by the graphics cards. They'll be heavy enough with the tubing from the CPU to the pump/res leaning on them too.
I'm not sure if that's entirely clear?
If so, any ideas?
