900w psu enough?

just specing a new rig up to build over winter and wondering if a 900w psu will supply enough juice :eek:

spec

4 pumps(4 seperate water circuits)
1 water chiller(100w,maybe externally powered)
core2duo cpu
2 gpu's
soundcard
2gb ram
3 hdd's
dvd rw and dvd drive
4 lcd displays(fr water circuits)
misc lights and the like
 
no theres always 2 psu's ;)

dunno how much yet as im building the tower myself and its gonna be a bit complex.im gonna build it in bits starting with the case,or parts of the case.
 
4 separate water loops and a chiller?!

Are you sure? That's going to be nightmarish (if not impossible) to actually fit together - have you thought about how and where the rads are going to be mounted?

What case is all this going into (cos I can't think of anything apart from a MM cube or huge server case that'll be big enough)
 
4 loops is excessive, as said it will be a bugger to install, why do you need 4 loops anyway?

1 for CPU
1 for GFX
1 for chipset/HDD's

and thats being stupidly complex as it goes...

nah ive planned it all out apart from the actual dimensions :)
the rad is gonna be a custom job with 4 seperate cooling cores and 4 inputs/outputs mounted right at the top of the case which i am building myself and isnt like any std case available at the moment.ive designed the case apart from how the fron t will look and have mapped out where all the components are going to fit.next week im going to buy some cheap acrylic/perspex to start making a cheaper version of the case so it dont cost me loads if i make a hole in the wrong place ect.
the case/system is basically just a project because i want to see if i can do it and it will look great.
cant really give out details of plans as such because a)you will all laugh b)you will say it isnt possible and c)someone as mental as me may try and copy and get it done before me :D
 
yeah have seen the 1100w psu but its not rated as highly(as in functionality not wattage) as the enermax galaxy 900 which also has modular cables ect

the install of the water system isnt as complex as you may think especially when im building a case round the sytem rather than the system round the case :)
 
oh yeah and on the electricity bill bit it cost approx 15p per 1000watt/hour just for people who are curious :) and i dont pay the electricity bill :D

LOL I have all me mates PC's round me house and I don't pay for electricity either but I am quickly learning it aint cheap (crazy bald man getting angry that bills are hundreds over, me saying dude electricity is going up cos of energy reserves and middle east ect LOL :D )
 
yeah anno how you feel fella.im not on mine all that much constantly tbh,maybe a few hours a day when im gaming and thats about it and i dont download stuff anymore so its not on for 24 hours straight anymore.the pc is basically gonna be to see if i can do a custom project and its just to say i made this tbh :)
