Well been using my 9070XT for a couple of weeks now and it does seem like it's getting bottlenecked quite hard by the 5600X so thinking about going for a full new build.

Thinking of the below for a full System, I don't need storage will use existing M2s, willing to drop to a different MOBO but in all honesty i'm not seeing much more budget friendly than what I have.
Power supply i'm willing to change, i'd like Platinum ideally but i'd go with a Gold - I do have a 850Watt Platinum EVGA PSU already but I'm not sure if that will be suitable I also plan on keeping my old PC around so would still need a PSU regardless, it's also the 1 piece I wont skimp on, I want the best and most reliable (within reason) so if ones more expensive so be it.

Memory, I think I have the best option available on OCUK EXPO C30 6000

Below video shows the difference between the 5600x and 9800X3D so seems im making the correct choice!

Looking good. Can I make a suggestion on the PSU. I'd be looking at ATX3.1 purely as you're going new build. Can recommend, as can a few others, to go with the new Antec PSU.

Wow that power supply is an absolute beast.

I do actually rate Antec PSUs I've used them in the past and all been solid.

I reckon 1200w is seriously overkill though, but you can't have too much overhead I guess.

I mean I'd go to 1000W but I defiantly will upgrade my GPU in the future I have a 9070XT which ill skip the next generation but then possibly upgrade after that, CPU will be there for 6-8years, I don't see a need to upgrade that for a while pending any major technological breakthrough I foresee it standing the test of time.

I'm just sceptical if my existing 850 will be enough if I end up upgrading in the future, 1000w doesn't feel like much of a difference to a 850 so 1200 was the most logical leap in my weird mind hah.

Ok fair enough if you want to future proof it.

I run an AMD 5800x, AMD 7900xt, 64GB memory, 2 drives, fans etc, my pc pulls about 400 - 450w whilst gaming on a demanding game. I'm using a 14 year old Corsair HX850 power supply.

The CPU has a mild overclock, the GPU is stock.

But it is important to get a good power supply as you said yourself, you can't go wrong with that Antec one. You also don't really loose much in efficiency than you used to going way over. It used to be the case that power supplies were most efficient at around 80% load, so if you had a 1200w power supply, and your pc typically only used say 300w, it would be far less efficient than say using a 500w power supply for the same system.

But these days they are mostly good over about 20% draw, I can't easily find the exact figures for that Antec one.
