thinking of selling my old cr250, I've seen adverts on gumtree/ebay but most say 'EVO' - would that usually mean they're ready to race or do people just put that on adverts for bikes of that age now?

thnk it's a '94 but need to check
last time I had it out it ran fine but I only ever used it for fun so would need a pretty major service to get it ready to race

Yeah evo is a class or series.....what I’m wondering is if all bikes within an age bracket are now evo, or are the ones advertised as evo modified to allow them to compete in evo...

It’s not ran in years because I’ve not tried to start it...was meaning it would need shocks etc serviced

the exhaust downpipe/manifold (is it even called a manifold if there's just one pipe?) isn't standard - not sure about the silencer but it's def 90's...can't remember what was so good about the '96 but it was sold to me as a '96 and I later found out it wasn't :(

I'm near Edinburgh Macca

pretty surprised at the availability of parts!

that combined with watching this has made me want to get it running again.....I never could do a proper balanced/controlled wheelie!
I remember having a VHS/book on Motocross techniques...was complete ***** compared to this channel :D

the engine number indicates it's a '94 on this site http://www.oem-cycle.com/HONDACR250BIKEID.shtml
I can't find anything decisive on how to read the UK/EU frame numbers but everything else points to it being '94
