I currently have a i7 920 D0 and have a small overclock. I have an option to tell my 920 to a friend and buy a 950, do you think this is worthwhile or should I stay with my 920 D0 given this chips particular liking to clocking?

Yep, save dosh and get a 920. Edit- didn't realise you had it already, yeah just keep your 920.

Depends on if you OC... if you do not OC then it could be worth it otherwise not worth the dosh.

Good job I didn't upgrade to i7 950 when ocuk selling at the price (that time only) at £199.99 a few weeks ago back. I am glad I stick with my cherry chip i7 920 instead. As rjkoneill and nathwraith will probably say to me "It pointless to upgrade, just get that damn gtx 470 superoc graphic card!".
