I have a AMD64 3700+ clocked to 2.7GHz and was planning to pick up a cheap 4400+ ADA4400DAA6CD
CCB2E 0536MPMW.

I was wondering what type of performance I'd get out of it compared to core 2 duo. I have no plan to upgrade to core 2 duo anytime soon.

Seems like a worthwhile upgrade.

X2 at 2.6Ghz has similar performance to E6300/E6400 at stock.

Considering a X2 4200+ costs £80 brand new £90 seems like a fair price.

Thanks and nice oc on the 3800!

Is the only reason a 939 x2 is worth more than a AM2 x2 because 939 CPUs are no longer being produced?

With the current price drop[s a AM2 x2 4200+ costs £82 and even though it doesn't have the 2x1mb cache shouldn't a 939 4400+ cost less second hand than a brand new AM2 x2 4200+

I just want to lknow how much you'd all pay for the 939 x2 4400+.

That's what I'm thinking. Sell off my RAM, mobo and CPU and go C2D I just have to make sure I'll have enough money. l
