9500gt card

Hi I currently have an old 8500gt card in my pc and the only game I play is World of Warcraft. It plays fine on my 22" monitor at about 30fps which is all I need.

I installed the new expansion and it is more graphically demanding - my frame rate dropped down to 25fps.

I found a very cheap 9500gt card, will I notice a better experience with this card instead of the old 8500gt?

You'll see a slight improvement (the 9500GT is an 8600GT with a different name) but I would suggest you spend a little more for better performance.

I'd suggest you spend a little extra and try for a 9600 or 4830 if you can.

They're far better and the 9500 is not that great.

If your prepared to buy a new GPU anyway you might want to try overclocking that 8500GT - should be able to get around 80% performance boost if its like the ones I had (with shader/core unlinked).
