I have just recieved my system and when i look at it in windows on the profile it says Phenom x4 955 Processor 3.2ghz
Shoud it say BE or black edition in the profile as i am not shure if i have been supplied with the non BE?
Thanks

As far as I am aware all 955 were BE editions,
I'd like to know that too! :)

The website states "Available as Black Edition PIB" . . . does that mean there is "only" BE or perhaps both BE and Vanilla?

CPU-z should state what Jacos has . . . I suppose AMD OverDrive™ is an option also? . . . see if the CPU multi can be adjusted from x16 (3.2GHz) to x17 (3.4GHz)

I have downloaded cpuz and it shows
Name Amd Phenon II x4 955
code name Deneb Brand id 13
technology 45nm
but i cant see it saying BE anywhere?

You can go into your BIOS and see if you can change the multiplier, or download the programme AMD overdrive and see if you can do it in there. But I would advise you not to do this without a bit of reading up first.

In any case I'm pretty sure all 955 were BE, its the 940's and below which had BE and non BE. All that Black edition means is that it has an unlocked multiplier.
