960 good or bad ?

I'm not everyday gamer just wanted somthing good best £4$ ( hard I know ) but saved up some pennies 
and waited for the 960 but like most said only 2 gig ram and the price.
I have tried 2 970s but the 1st coil whine and the 2nd was worse so gave up on that idea
