Im looking to get a new GFX Card i curently have a 7300 le 256mb a cheap peice of tart that i used jsut to get me going im now upgrading my system and have been looking at a 9600 GT with 512mb i am looking to spend around the exact amount that this one is going for infact pretty much have my heart set on it what do you guys think http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp... Well i ordered http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...T 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail this morning i just cross refrenced the two and did notice these are still far better.

My only issue is ive been advised the driver updates will be stoping soon for the 8800 series this shouldnt cause to much problem tho should it

I don't think that's true. Most nvidia releases cover the range. You will be fine with 8800

Koolio I made my pc with budget parts and now starting to upgrade everything next to get done is my memory that can wait till next month got a pay rise yesterday got paid today tho aint my work clever. going to build another compuer with the old bits so effectivley im building a new pc lol but will just put my old 7300 le card into it and give it to my dad hes still using an old pentium D (Diesel) emachines thats 5 years old

Doesn't a 8800 draw nearly twice the amount of power from the PSU for a 10 to 15 % improvement over a 9600GT ?

Around 80W for a stock 8800GT and 60W for a stock 9600GT according to a xbitlabs review. Pretty good compared to the recent cards.
