9600 Pro

Are these worth overclocking at all ? i wonder because it dont seem very powerful compared to an old 9700 pro i once owned.

not sure about the pro, but i had an XT 9600, which overclocked really well, and gave massive stable performance compared to stock. Both mem and core clocked well, cant see the pro being too far off the pace

I used to have a 9600 Pro, but it wasn't that great of a clocker

got about another 100mhz on the core and about 30mhz on the mem iirc

The 9700 Pro was quite a chunk faster - you'll never get close to those speeds even if the 9600 overclocks pretty well.
