I have a 3 year old Sapphire Radeon 9600 card (I don't know if it is the Pro). I would like to know whether it would deliver the correct signal to a WS monitor. I looked at the various resolutions it was able to deliver to my 17" CRT and 1680:1050 was not one of them.
Can someone tell me if I connected a WS monitor to that card whether that resolution would be available. Or are the resolutions visible now the only ones that are available regardless of type or size of monitors.
 
I don't know if this any help but I have a 9800 Pro and run 1680x1050 with no problems.

The 1680x1050 option appeared when the monitor was connected.
 
Your card should have no problems with 1680x1050. You won't see any WS options in the CP, unless a WS monitor is attached to the card.
