9600GT and new ATI pricing

ATI reduced prices on 3870XT (powercolour 800Mhz core for only 117 quid) and on the other hand new 9600GT.

How they compare?

From what I've seen ATI is better w/o AA and 9600GT is better with AA.

Do you want maxed out details and no AA or medium details and AA?

I am on 1900x1200 and AA is not essential due to the high res (I would not say no if it is possible tho). I need a cheap good card as I decided to wait for next gen. 117 quid for an 800Mhz 3870XT GDDR4 sounds right.

I am worried if 9600GT is better tho, as it is only ~140quid for the "golden sample" models.

Then again, the "next-gen" might turn out being pap and grab an X2 for tri-x-fire.

I am puzzled atm!

The ATI would be a bit better at 1900x1200 but at that res the 3870 nor the 9600GT would be any good at AA anyway.
