IT LOOKS LIKE Nvidia is firing on no cylinders lately. The firm can't seem to get a product out on time. There is one bright spot: the count on the 9600GT delays has gone up by 50 per cent.
That may not be a bright spot, but the so far twice delayed 9600GT, (specs here) appears to have been recalled. Some OEMs are getting the call to yank them, others not yet, or not at the time they talked to us. What this means is more and more delay, this time we are not sure how much though. An educated guess would be CeBIT, because what else are they going to launch there?

not a good month for Nv.

This has been posted before - and yet OcUK have stock of 9600GT's now :p

i know they have stock... i did check, i just presumed that they would be recalled shortly based on the story, and given the idiot forum search engines utter and total failure to find the words 9600GT and recall in conjunction anywhere on the site that it was new news.

who cares anyway? the 9600GT is just a cheaper re-hash of the 8800GT.

people who are desperate to upgrade can wait the few weeks while the 9600GT becomes widely available, or just spend a little more on an 8800GT (or maybe even an 8800GS) for slightly better performance.

everyone is making out like nVidia is up the creek, but their market dominance is so significant that their stalling is actually beneficial for the competition, who've been slacking off recently. (AMD, i'm looking at you!)

does that mean ive just bought an 8800GT for £203, when i could have waited and got a 9600GT for £130 wich performs just aswell????

or am i confused:eek:
