Evidences are backing up my points on 9600GT.

They are SLI mighty to me:D

This's the original article from the Inquirer.net

Here are some screenies:

Again, leaving 8800GTS G92 far far behind.

Any thoughts?

I think your trying to make your self feel better about buying a launch model GX2 tbh.But ye facts dont lie looks promising for your GX2.

The 9600GT is obviously a very nice card for SLI and the price is also nice but the cost of a decent SLI board is not. I also think I'd rather have the flexibility of CrossfireX.

In some ways I wish I did not sell my P5N-E SLi now so I could buy 2x 9600GT, but the NV chipset was junk.

2x 9600GT still only comes to about £206 so a bargain indeed.. But the sli performance might be a lot worse on older non-PCI-E 2.0 mobos that only offer 8x 8x SLI config. Although the P5N-T also offers only 8x 8x SLI but since it's PCI-E 2.0 it still provides same level of bandwidth as PCI-E 1.0/1.1 16x if I understand it correctly.

Found a 9600GT review on Legit Reviews who tested it on an Intel platform and when at stock it's quite a bit slower than 8800GT in some games.

lulwut?

780i is 2x16 g2 and 1x16 g1

680i is 2x16 g1 and 1x8 g1

590i is 2x16 g1

750/650/570 use the split 16x into 8x/8x config.

On older boards like the 680 and 590, 16x g1 will still be more than enough, you would probably be fine even with a split lane config board like the x50's. :)

AH sorry was thinking about the P5N-"D" that uses the 750sli chipset.

Certainly looks promising for the 9800GTX. If only they released a board that could match the GPU performance.
