Hey there

So I have just won a 9600GT 512MB on a certain auction site for £72.98 (including P&P). But my current card is a HD3850 256MB, will I see any noticable difference with the 9600GT? The 9600GT is the Inno3D version, I don't know what sort of reputation they have so if anyone has any feedback on them let me know. Also, the card was listed as being a customer return, and that they had tested the card by installing it and booting into Vista but they hadn't installed any of the drivers or anything yet. Also, they said the manufacturer warranty may still be available because it has a manufacturer date of 08/2008 on it so August 2008... So what do you think then, will it offer a big difference?

Thanks for your help and time.

The 9600GT will most likely be a bit faster in most things. How much depends on the game and resolution you run.

Really its not really worth it, especially considering the new cards right around the corner. Anyway asking for advice after you buy something is not that smart >_>.

The 9600GT is the better card, but the difference will come from the more RAM, and certainly i doubt the difference was worth the price of admission.
