I've vowed not to spend more than about £100 now on GPUs, so finally something in that price range has come along that is good enough to replace the old x1900.

Just thought some of you might find this interesting.

3DMark06 1280x1024

X1900XTX 6475
9600GT 10100

Crysis demo, 1680x1050, HIGH everything

X1900XTX
Average FPS: 14.13
Min FPS: 3.11 at frame 1577, Max FPS: 18.34 at frame 73

9600GT
Average FPS: 23.51
Min FPS: 15.51 at frame 138, Max FPS: 27.09 at frame 994

 I was going try pick up a secondhand x1900xt-x for my second system...But i didn't think they were that slow compared to today cards...

Looks like am going to to have to spend a little more on a faster GPU card then a secondhand x1900xt-x goes for...

For £60ish, you still cant beat a 2nd hand X1900XT, as tbh, it played fine at 1680x1050 (HIGH) on everything recently but Crysis. And that Crysis flyby demo really doesn't give you a fare indication of how the game actually plays.

But overall, once i've overclocked the 9600GT, it'll probably be around twice as fast.

Be good to hear what yours clocks to, had mine to 700/2000 so far :)
