9600t pre OC ?

Hi all.

I got given a pc and it has xfx 9600GT and the clocks seem higher i think then what they would be normaly.

Core = 740
Shader = 1850
memory = 1000

If it is already overclocked should i not bother trying to get more out of it ?

That is a higher OC then mine

I think vanilla 9600gt run at 650/1625.

Mine is the same as yours. I've Oc'd to 800/2000 but ocassionally it freezes under load so I've kept it on 780/1950.

It's an excellent card in terms of power and noise level.

I have this but the BFG one and I was wondering the same thing. Although my core is only 725Mhz; might knock it up hmmmmm.

That seems to be a nice vooler swifty.

Mine is a single slot design, pretty quiet at 100% load as well which is a huge plus for me.

I've had 'jet engines' before (x1900xt & x2900gt) now very consious about the type of cooling my gpu has.

I used furmark to test my OCs (stability mode at least 15 mins) and then a spot of gaming.
I bumped it in 10mhz increments.

I just bumped up to 800/2050/1000.

And yeh the coolers awesome I get around 40c which is cool for a gpu (I think)

Is this idle? (Nice & cool if idle) If so, what do you get under load?

My bfg is 675/1700/915 oced to 725 /1775/950 as i don't game to much now it is ok

Thats idle under load I get max around 47c never really seen it higher than that atm at 38c

47c under load. Very cool indeed. lol Even my idle is above that.
