Complete OC noob.
Just bought a 7950 but im stuck with a 965BE for a while so i obviously want to push it to the limit.
From a brief read around i think i've got the basics of OCing but help would be great. Correct me if i'm wrong.
1. Start with the multiplier and ratchet it up in step, whilst keeping stock volt.
1.1- Test with prime95
2. Rinse and repeat until failure.
3. Start nudging the voltage up. 1.55V limit?
4. Push as far as your happy with. ~65C limit?
Is the RAM OC an analogous process?
Im sure ive forgotten finer details. All help really appreciated.
BTW. I've used the MB built-in OC feature to get 3.8GHz
