97.92 XtremeG drivers

Hmmm would these drivers increase performance for my 6800GS?
On 91.31 atm and they're junk tbh, worse than some 8x.xx series drivers i used to have...
 
Remember that the newest drivers are usually only optimised for the latest cards. Yes there will be some fixes to other and older cards but for most part there for whats been recently released. So id say 8x.xx drivers might be best for older 6xxx series cards.
 
i dont think that 7600gt is a new card. They worked fine for me, have a go yourself snowdog and see if you have any boost in performance.

Btw what do these drivers include? Are they nvidia ones or made by somone else?
Do they still include the nvidia stuff like profiles and nview, as i need them...

I dropped back from these to the 84.21s for my 6800 Ultra they seem to be more stable for the older cards.
 
Hmm strange snowdog, just ran 3dmark06, saw a difference of 982 points compared to nvidia 93.71. May be it does depend on the card you are using.

Jaykay, where does it say that mem is 1.1ghz, is it like a prompt message or in the gpu settings?

No they just felt a lot slower in most of my games,feels a lot smoother again on the older drivers so going to stick with these until I upgrade.

i used coolbits to unlock the overclocking thingy and it said core 300 and memory 1.1ghz
 
seems ok to me jaykay, which card u using?

mine says 600 core clock and 1.6ghz mem. both overclocked ofcourse! :D

edit: just read your previous post (sorry didnt realise that u already had mention), i believe that u r using Asus n6600, the core should b 500 and mem at 450(effectively 900mhz), 300mhz seems a bit low.

nah my asus 6600 is passive cooled
its the extreme n6600 silencer
128mb ddr @500mhz
and a crappy core at 300
though ive overclocked it too
650 and 450 so it runs games pretty well
but with these drivers i dont know what the memory is ive overclocked it to 1.3ghz which is about 450 mhhhhh :mad:
ill just have to see how well it plays im gona go on bf2/2142 to see how it goes
 
I have a 7600GT too. i am running the 93.71 drivers. I had the modified ones from Guru3d.com i think something like 97.xx but got rid of them and reverted back to the 93.71.

would it be good to get these and where would i get these from?
