970 boost clock question

I see the different 970's all have different boost clocks.

Whilst looking at an Asus Strix review I noticed it said something about the boost clocks varying based on system conditions.

Does this mean theoretically that the coolest 970's will have the fastest boost clock?

Nope. Each boards bios differs... Mine stays well below temps , well below power limit and well below maxed voltage but won't boost beyond the stated boost clocks . Some go a lot further some not a lot , do your research and see what does what
