Hi,

Hoping you guys can help, PC was working fine, games running ok etc at night, went to bed and woke up to a rebooted PC with 800x600 resolution and only 1 monitor working.

Appears it rebooted for a windows update on the 8th (kb4103727) which win10 wont let me uninstall and 970 gtx showing code43 and running on windows basic drivers.

Suspected this was due to upgrade so tried to re-install nvidia drivers but had no success, dug out my old 570 and it works fine, using it now, i then noticed nvidia have released a 2nd driver with the release notes saying to fix the 1060 code 43 error, but no mention of 970 code 43? tried this driver and still not working.

Any ideas how to fix or if maybe 970 is faulty and just a massive co-incidence etc

I do seem to be getting a red led for gfx slot coming on at boot which i haven't notice'd before but it goes off after a second.

There's a metric ton of results on Google for that error on that OS for that card. Plenty of stuff there to try, so not worth repeating it all here...

FWIW, I've just done the April Win10 update on my machine with a 970 installed and it's all OK.

I had the same issue with my 980ti. I tried everything in all of the guides online, DDU, roll back drivers, block windows driver updates etc.

After days of frustration I remembered that I'd modded the bios of the card. I re-flashed the card with the original bios and the latest drivers installed without an issue.
