970 Drivers

Yes they are the same and you probably could get away with it working as plug and play but to be on the safe side i would uninstall them, take out the card pop your other one in and install updated drivers.
 
Definitely use ddu in safe mode and also make sure you use the new graphics card option.

I used DDU to uninstall my last card and only selected the install new driver method. Safe to say the driver insgall afterwards never really worked regardless of how many times I reinstalled them and the card kept crashing.
