Hi All

I'm looking at upgrading my g-card to a 970 from a 570. My mb is a Asus P8Z68-V PRO Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 which only has PCI-E 2.0. Will I notice any bottlenecking with it not being PCI-E 3.0?

I just noted on the product page (e.g. here) that it says "PCI Express 3.0 support" and I just wanted to make sure that meant it would work on the newer 3.0 but as a result isn't limited on a 2.0.

Many thanks.

Awesome. Many thanks!

I've got an EVGA 570 at the moment which has been okay though I'm glad it had a 7 year warrenty as I've had to RMA it 3 times. That's why I was looking at the Zotac ones - 5 year warrenty compared to the 2/3 year on other manufacturers.

This one looks a good deal at the moment with cashback and sale price though: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/20-p...ddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-352-as.html

Is there any reason why I should go for one over another other than clock speed/cost/running temps? I thought they'd all be pretty much the same card with different coolers and clocks.

Warranty is also a very important factor to consider. Asus are poor on this front, gigabyte and evga are highly recommended on here due to their support service. Evga now have a uk based service which is great for us as previously you had to ship rma's to Germany.

Yes all three times i had to ship mine to germany which cost £30 each time!

As stated above, i have used EVGA when my 780 went wrong, they were second to non. Personally i would only buy EVGA from now on

I agree, they were very good each time mine went wrong too, it was just the cost of posting that got me at the time.

Does anyone know if Zotac RMA is also UK based? I think that would swing my decision one way or another now!
