a couple of times now my gig g1 while playing WOT is producing around 30/40fps at 1080p.

If i restart the pc it normally cures it but any idea what could be causing the performance drop?
 
Still not sure if my g1 970 is working properly.

I installed DDU and erased all old AMD driver left overs and all Nvidea. installed all new nvidea drivers.

Ive still had to restart the pc a couple of times due to low FPS but not as much.

I feel though that the 970 is not working to its full potential. In WOT ive got vsync on but i still get a few drops in FPS to low 50s sometimes. Also ive been playing Elite Dangerous a bit and the FPS in that can go down to the 20s at times.

OK added specs to my SIG. Doubt its my CPU. Never had this problem with wot on my 7950.

On WOT last night I also noticed that my tank was quite blurry while driving along. Looked fine when stopped.

OK so I'm not alone with this. Not sure what to do, its one of them crap intermittent problems that when you send it off for RMA it comes back with "nothing wrong with it"

Seems its my first time with Nvidea im Really not impressed with this card. Wishing I stuck with my trusty sapphire 7950.
 
OK so I'm trying a reinstall of win7. My OS is on my ssd while steam, uplay etc is on my D drive. I copied Documents & Downloads to an external HDD.

I've done the reinstall but was wondering how I can get everything back working again. Not sure how to get steam up lay back onto desktop and working?
 
So reinstall is done. Ive only put the driver on which comes with the GPU and so far seems ok.

Elite D staying at 60fps with vsync on with occasional stutters when going into or out of a jump. GPU Usage about 30%

WoT staying at 60fps vsync on. I had FXAA on but it made the tank go blurry when travelling. Turned it off and it was ok. GPU Usage about 50%

Fcry 3 averaging 115fps. Same with that though when i put SMAA on things go blurry when i start to move. GPU Usage 98%

Arkham Asylum 60fps Vsync on. GPU Usage about 25%

only tried these for 5mins at a time. Think ill get the latest drivers next time and see what happens.

Not sure what to make of the GPU Usage. Anyone else the same?
 
Well I had to do another reinstall and there is no difference what so ever. Trying to play world of tanks and the fps goes like a yoyo up and down from 60fps to 20/30 fps.

Also the tank goes blurry while moving and other times it don't :/

Someone needs to categorically say if this is Driver or Hardware issue.

If it's hardware I want to RMA this piece of junk ASAP!?!?!?
 
My CPU is at stock as is the GPU. I do use afterburner, is there another monitoring program I can use while gaming with OSD?

I'll have to give the default drivers a go then. Just don't know why the drivers would be just effecting some and not others.
