970 or R9 390 ?

I went with the R9 390 as it performs on par with the 970 for games but works much better with GPU acceleration on video editing tools and has 4GB more RAM for the same price.
 
Just 1900 x 1200 with everything on... GTAV and COD games are all i have that are new.

Well if i can get my hands on a i7 6700k that's what i'll be going with. if not a 4790k

16GB ram with whatever is on offer.. Mobo a Z97 again, in the buying / researching process atm.
 
390, unless you specifically want some of the Nvidia features they have to offer. (Shadow play for example).

BTW, I think it is way too early to be saying which card is best for DX12, developers and tech companies can do amazing things sometimes to speed things up.
 
390. It is better value than the 970 at the moment. Although really you can't go wrong with either.
