970 V 1070 1080p Performance Comparison

Zotac 1070 Amp Extreme V Evga 970 SSC+ rev 2.0

Thought I would run a few benches for those wondering whether it's worth moving from a 970 to a 1070 on 1080p, using W10, [email protected]/16Gb.

Gysnc On V-Sync off.

Both running out the box clocks-no overclocking.

Your Tomb Raider score seems very low.
Here is mine running dx12 1080p maxed out with aa set to fxaa on 980ti

Thanks, just tried a run with no Fxaa and it's hard locked to 60 fps despite it being switched off and set to 144Hz, so I'll need to investigate.

Just retested it with maxed out in game aa setting and it took my average fps down to 62.
Huge performance impact.
Definitely not worth it.

turn off v-sync and then g-sync if you have that. it should unlock it then.

Driver issue, as the 970 wasn't fps locked.
