So I have a seemingly stable 9700k @ 5ghz 1.33v and i'm scoring 1300-1350's on R15 which is awful. Whats strange though is when I was trying to overclock a couple of weeks ago I was scoring 1550+ at 4.8ghz all core with a -2 AVX but now at 5ghz 0 AVX i'm scoring 1350? Any ideas?

It's not stable?

Have you tried 4.9?

Will try, but I thought stability just meant it would failed stress tests? So if I'm at the settings I have and everything measures 5ghz and I don't fail or crash on anything, and i'm 'not stable' what does that mean?

Try testing memory bandwidth, maybe you lost something there?

1300 drop from 1550 is quite a substantial drop. If 4.8 is that much better then I would suspect that 5.0 isn't stable, or something's changed that you didn't expect.

First try 2.8 again and see what score you get.

I was going to say check to make sure nothing is interfering or if the board was vrm throttling. My 9600k was stable at 5ghz 1.32v. There was a noticable increase in benchmarks. I posted about it on here. I've dropped it to 4.9ghz 1.3v due to temps being a little high but it's still high in the benchmark side. These coffee lake cpus like the 5ghz mark. I've yet to see one that wasnt stable at that range.
