Just because people use Amd we don't then get to have an opinion. Let's here your opinion as I am sure it will give others more of a laugh. Nvidia are absolutely out of order here end of story. If that's funny to you I suggest you grow up some.

Oh but it does as now the performance numbers look good but now it's stuttering for some. If this rings a bell it was the same when amd crossfire was superior in numbers but delivery was not so good with stuttering as is being reported.

Whatever way you look at it the vram situation is not ideal.

I never said those who own AMD aren't entitled to an opinion, i stated most the outrage comes from those who own AMD.

No you are trying to play this down by saying most of the outrage comes from AMD users. I have also read the thread and most of the unhappy people are users of the gtx970. Sure there's also people happy with there cards. I will say again Nvidia are out of order do you disagree.

Sorry mate I just fall for the bate now and then. Usually on a Saturday for not so good reasons.

I still happen to think the gtx970 is a good card but I do feel it's tainted due to Nvidia and it's new technical ability as the spec has changed for the worse and new games are going to show this up more.

Guy's, stop bickering and arguing. Yes, nvidia done wrong, i think its a let down, wether it was known to hide the vram issue, wether it wasnt. I dont know, sure i care for those affected by it, and great to seee ocuk going above and beyond to help people. Fanboy bickering doesnt help this thread. Gibbo and the other shop guys likwely have a hard enough time going through it without having to trawl through endless nonsense.

+1 but I am sure you agree this should not be played down as if that's what happens Nvidia are free to repeat this.

I am not saying people should get shot of there gtx970 as I don't believe the 0.5gb of Ram makes a huge difference but to some that need it maybe it does. I just think NV went missing with the truth.

Definitely, it shouldnt be played down at all. When a company does wrong, it should be exposed in any way possible. Thankfully the internet allow's us to do that, we can contact the manufacturer directly, voice our opinions on their forums, other independent forums such as this one. But, that doesnt mean we should come on here and troll, bait, swear etc about the situation. It helps nobody.:)

Yep and I don't believe that's what I have done. I just take offense to those that want to bury this under the carpet.

Im not saying you did mate, and i agree 100% with what your'e saying, as an nvidia owner myself. It does leave a bitter taste in the mouth seeing how badly they have handled this. It doesnt affect me personally as im on older cards which are 3gb anyway, yes ill be going gsync soon but it will still be with this pair of golden oldies. But i could definitely sympathise with anyone who is put off with nvidia after this fiasco. Their next release will have to be spot on, true specs given out prior to release, and maybe a slightly cheaper price. Though i wont hold my breath waiting on the latter.:)

You took offense out of my comment because i stated a lot of the outrage has come from AMD owners. None of my comments have implied i feel it should buried under the carpet, LOL.
I stated my opinion, like you asked. I really don't care, very few things bother me and this is one of them.

It is true, there have been an awful lot of people in this thread stirring the pot, people who dont even own nvidia cards let alone a 970. That just makes it difficult to have a sensible discussion when AMD users are constantly posting the same pics/gifs/ill-informed vitriol.

case in point, despite me posing a million bleedin' times that i fill my 4gb vram just fine on my single 970, people are still, after 5,900 posts, telling me it cant be done. These people do not own 970s. These people havent got a clue :p
