Your comparison is somewhat contradictory, a 3GB card works fine with no stutter yet the 970 with more than 3gb stutters? Hmm, must be the ram! :O
yeh something going on with the 970's more than the ram ><

Man some of these guys must be so blinded by some twisted sense of fanboy loyalty that just can't see why Nvidia are at fault here.
Literally amazing, must be nice though to be able to remain in blissful ignorance. That's a trait they share with Nvidia.
If people lie I know to steer clear.. When corporations / business put out false advertising I know to avoid..
3.5GB + 0.5GB.
Less ROPS.
Less Cache.
It literally doesn't get any plainer..
Each to their own though.
I would not touch one of those Titans with a barge pole.
Can you please elaborate on this. I'm considering the next titan so I can forget about longevity and game in peace.
My original post was a joke as most of the guys on these forums already know I own 4 Titans.
One thing I would say to you though is if you are considering these type of cards is you need at least 2 to get the most out of them. If you use a single next gen Titan you probably won't get close to filling the frame buffer which defeats the point of using them.
lol not sure if there is such a thing as longevity in pc stuff
decent set of headphones mebe

I plan to buy one for 1440p 60 FPS+ gaming for the next two years. Your thoughts?
Lots of rumours are going around about the likely specs but the most creditable seems to be a GTX 980 x 1.5
IE
Cores 3072
SMM 24
ROPs 96
Bus 384 bit
VRAM 6gb or 12gb
What this means is in demanding games in years to come @1440p you are likely to need 2 Maxwell Titans or 3 GTX 980s. I am basing this on the fact that there are already games that need 2 x GTX 980s @1440p.

Thanks. And what's your opinion about a likely price? I saw somewhere $1300~. How would that translate to a UK launch price? and how do prices develop over time with these cards?
How would 2 almost high end cards, like for example upcoming 2x 390's (non x) handle 1440p?
Difference being the non tech savvy's your talking about don't know Nlieia's 970's have been rumbled.
The one's having an issue with ramgate are tech savvy, monumental difference and why I originally said it's a **** comparison, but you are entitled basing your opinion as a valid comparison.
Bottom line-if a single Nlieia partner(PCPer/Anand etc) were to have stated the 970 had a 192 bus in their review, Nlieia would have been all over them like an STD remedy to fix their mistake.
Slightly worse than the X versions...lol
If anyone gives you any other answer than that ignore it, the cards don't exist as of yet. Nothing worse than false hope.

Well obviously.. bit of a silly question i suppose but just wondered what others would say.
Have yet to move from 1080p yet, seems as though 1440p isn't exactly cheap to keep running with high frames though.
This is only my guess but NVidia tend to work to a set price with their top cards which is around £840.00 so my guess is somewhere between £840.00 and £900.00
Just ran this for you
This is Crysis 3 maxed including 8XMSAA @1440p on 4 x GTX 980s
