970's having performance issues using 4GB Vram - Nvidia investigating

I recently emailed a large online retailer about a product that I bought from them which doesn't match the specifications they claim.

About an hour later, I had this reply.......

This is from Customer Service team. I have received your e-mail stating that the information that has been updated for " " has proven to be incorrect and Manufacturer is still working on the issue.

First of all, please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused to you thus far. Where we are thankful to you for binging the fact in light for us . Where I have forwarded the safe information to our product team and they will look into this matter and try to update the information.

And as the product features are not as specified on our website, so if you want we can arrange collection and get you a full refund for your order.

Rest be assured we will look int this matter and try to rectify it. Once again accept our sincere apologies for the wrong information.

Should you need any further assistance, never hesitate to give us a call.

Could you please tell me if this company happens to be the one that rhymes with ran, because i'm waiting on a reply too and i'm hoping they are not trying to do a runner on me.

More than lightly.

Spoke to them this morning, Got told they are waiting on different manufactures to agree to help. I explained that unfortunately that is there problem as the customer only deals with the retailer, I feel sorry for the retailers footing some of the bill but customers have a right to return goods if missold or specifications were misleading.
I asked if this is damage limitation regarding the cost and they clearly stated yes.

Looking at forums tonight they may be accepting RMA's will give them a ring tomorrow before I get PayPal involved.
 
Hey gibbo I'm still trying to get a refund from another retailer for my 2 msi 970's but if I can't get anywhere with them would you be able to do me a deal on a pair of 980's? Quite fancy the evga sc ones

Been in talks with people on Twitter got sent a picture of a refund invoice through for a MSI version, Lets hope they are now helping all customers not just the manufactures agreeing to help foot the bill

I see what you mean, and yeah for real ocuk are the beezneez, i got 1 msi 970 from them and had no hassle in my return with them, its in the process right now, there professionalism and courtesy in dealing with there customers is on next levels, worthy of being no.1 in the pc business.

So, just to clarify, the internet now needs to edited, because every search I do on what cards to get instead of 970 SLI is telling me that 970 SLI is the best and beats everything. This is now completely wrong it seems, and if I bought another 970 today I'd be heading in to a world of hurt. Whereas 2 weeks ago I'd have been golden. How annoying!

Jesus, I thought of all the etailers, they would be the most dreaded to deal with but that kind of response is great, especially offering to collect it!

Lets hope they put their money where their mouth is and come up with the goods!
