Regarding Dying Light

I've had a look at the memory usage in the game after the current complaints about 970's and vram.. The game does have a memory leak!

With every new area or shall I say moving forward to next objective in the very first part of the game, the memory usage goes up and up an up. You can pretty much walk 10 steps towards the next objective and the memory usage has already gone up by 50MB. Stand still and memory usage remains the same, walk back, remains the same

Very odd, watched it my self with MSI, it then crashed at the first healing part of the game

Frostbite3 Engine isn't it, that game?

If I had bought a 970 previous to this shannanigans I would have Deffinately sent it back even if it performed the same as stated, but I am just a "principle" of it guy.

Not sure..

Rebooted the game, it said it was using 2043 VRAM at the same location previously it was using 3432 VRAM.. Played as far as the first mission outside and the game freeze hard locks up with this

Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: DyingLightGame.exe (2004) consumed 4992946176 bytes, Steam.exe (1164) consumed 75055104 bytes, and explorer.exe (1612) consumed 69197824 bytes.

Had to reboot the comp

At least 1 in 20 people have returned their 970s according to actual research. Probably more.

It has the potential to create a situation similar to the mining boom 2nd hand glut.

Yeah thats a Memory Leak, it's overflowing into page, BF4 had the same issue, i think there are Memory Management bug's in the Frostbite 3 Engine and they are having a hard time tracing them.

Thats if it is Frostbite 3, Google is vague on an answer but i do think it is.

Well, if it was actual research you won't mind posting your source. Lol.
Gibbo has stated <1% and runs the largest etailer in the UK. Iirc the last count they gave was just over 200 returned, probs more now though :o

Sounds most likely :)

Uninstalled it anyway, it's making me feel ill! Just like Mirrors Edge did
